Artificial Intelligence: Boon or Curse for Humanity
    (Bharti Publication, 2025) Shoaib Hasan
Since every coin has two sides, as we all know, artificial intelligence (AI) is a really ground breaking achievement in computer science and is expected to play a major role in all contemporary software in the years to come. Both a threat and an opportunity are presented by this. The potential for AI to alter our way of living, working, and playing makes it significant. In the corporate world, it has shown to be a useful tool for automating human-intensive processes including fraud detection, lead creation, quality control, and customer support. Artificial Intelligence (AI) surpasses humans in several areas in terms of accuracy and efficiency. For repetitive, detail-oriented work like going over a lot of legal documents and making sure all the essential fields are filled in, it is quite helpful. AI's capacity to handle enormous data sets allows businesses to see aspects of their operations that they might not have otherwise discovered. A growing number of domains, including marketing, education, and product design, are starting to recognize the significance of the quickly growing range of generative AI tools. The benefits include, but are not limited to, simplifying, time savings, bias elimination, and task automation. Artificial intelligence is pliable and adaptive; it may gain knowledge from experience and gradually enhance its functionality. It has the ability to perform a broad range of activities and make judgments using intricate data sets. However, it is less adaptive and flexible, built to complete particular tasks in a small domain, expensive to execute, may result in the loss of human jobs, and lacks emotion and creativity. Thus, in this work, I attempt to highlight the benefits and drawbacks of artificial intelligence.
