Ali Modu, Samar MujeebNeurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), and Huntington’s disease (HD) are progressive neurological conditions associated with cognitive decline, neuronal loss, and impaired quality of life. The increasing prevalence of these disorders and the limitations of existing therapeutic options have encouraged exploration of medicinal plants as alternative neuroprotective agents. The objective of this study is to examine current trends in medicinal plant research and evaluate their therapeutic relevance in neurodegenerative disorders. The methodology involved a narrative review and scientific evaluation of published literature focused on medicinal plants, phytochemicals, ethnopharmacological evidence, and molecular mechanisms associated with neuroprotection. Data from recent studies were analyzed to identify major bioactive compounds and their mechanisms of action. The findings indicate that medicinal plants and plant-derived compounds demonstrate significant neuroprotective activities through antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and signaling pathway modulation mechanisms. Bioactive constituents including flavonoids, polyphenols, alkaloids, and terpenoids have shown the ability to regulate oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, protein aggregation, and neuroinflammation. Several medicinal plants including Bacopa monnieri, Ginkgo biloba, Panax ginseng, and Centella asiatica have exhibited promising therapeutic outcomes in experimental and preclinical studies. In conclusion, medicinal plant research offers a promising direction for developing safer and multi-target therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative disorders. Integration of traditional medicinal knowledge with modern pharmacological approaches may support future advancements in neuroprotective drug discovery.Item Behavioural Biases of Gen Z and Millennial Investors: A Review of Risk Perceptions and Decision-Making in Financial Markets(Shodh Sandarsh, 2025) Mohd Faiz Khan, Shujauddin KhanThis study provides a comprehensive analysis of the behavioural biases influencing Generation Z and Millennial investors, emphasizing their distinct risk perceptions and financial decisions in contemporary markets. In contrast to traditional investors, these generations exhibit significant digital exposure, reliance on FinTech platforms, and heightened social influence, which amplify cognitive and emotional biases. The paper highlights key biases such as overconfidence, herding, loss aversion, anchoring, confirmation bias, disposition effect, and mental accounting, examining their impact on portfolio decisions, trading frequency, and long-term investing success. The influence of social media, gamification in investment applications, and peer-based financial communities on altering risk perceptions is particularly noteworthy. Evidence suggests that while younger investors exhibit a greater propensity for adopting novel financial products and demonstrate higher risk tolerance, they remain significantly susceptible to behavioural biases that may distort rational decision-making. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on behavioural finance by synthesizing evidence regarding investment psychology across generations and offers implications for policymakers, educators, and financial institutions to formulate targeted interventions that foster informed and resilient investing behaviours among future generations.Item APPLICATION OF NANOTECHNOLOGY IN FOOD PROCESSING AND PACKAGING(RESEARCH PROCEEDINGS OF INTERNATIONAL FORUM TASHKENT,, 2023) Sabeeha Jabeen, Shashi Bala, Abdul Rahman Khan, Tahmeena KhanNanotechnology comprises the wide-ranging application in food industries, such as packaging, and processing of food materials at the nanometer scale. The exploration of nanostructured materials in food industries are continue for processing and packaging purposes. Existing finding methods for food processing and packaging are expensive and time-taking and needs innovative technologies. Novelties in, nano-processing, and nano-packaging, are the current developments in the food sector. The amalgamation of nanotechnology with the food engineering industries and food packing industries now improved the excellence of foodstuff. The newest noteworthy investigation and improvement in the application of nanostructured-dependent packing of food items and processing is an antimicrobial application to detect spoilage and prevent food. Nanostructured materials are now striking findings in food packing systems as their enhanced useful properties like mechanical strength and barricading properties even own antimicrobic and antioxidant actions to preserve the excellence and range the shelf life in numerous food applications. Numerous nanostructured materials (silicate nano clay, metal oxide nanostructures, and polymer-based nanocomposites) are now involved in food packing systems. This Article will highlight the current nanostructured material in packaging and food processing applications together with food safety.Item Revolutionizing the Oil and Gas Industry through Nanotechnology(Proceedings of the International Conference on the topic “Innovative approaches to localization, 2023) Sabeeha Jabeen, Shashi Bala, Abdul Rahman Khan, Tahmeena KhanNanotechnology has the potential to change the technological landscape of the oil and gas industry. Current research is exploring the use of nanotechnology in different aspects related to the oil and gas industry. This review summarizes the research advances in the field of drilling and processing and, the development/improvement of oil recovery using nanotechnology. Among various photocatalysts, zinc oxide (ZnO) is extensively studied due to its low cost, chemical stability, non-toxic nature, and strong oxidative potential. Nevertheless, its practical application is restricted by a wide band gap and fast recombination of photo-generated charge carriers, which reduce activity under visible light. Recent progress shows that forming ZnO- based nanocomposites effectively overcomes these limitations by improving light absorption, suppressing charge recombination, and increasing reactive surface sites.Item Microbial-Assisted Green Synthesis of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles and their Potential Application(Zenodo, 2024) Ekhlakh Veg, Sabeeha Jabeen, Seema Joshi, Tahmeena KhanNanomaterials are the rapidly growing field of nanotechnology.
