Guardian of the Green: Federalism and Judicial Review in India as Protector of Our Planet
(Mind Your Law, 2025) Mirza Juned Beg
In an era marked by the urgent crescendo of ecological crises, the intricate tapestry of environmental federalism emerges as a pivotal construct in navigating the labyrinthine challenges of sustainable governance. This scholarly exploration delves into the dynamic interplay between federalism and judicial review, illuminating the delicate balance between national imperatives and local aspirations in environmental stewardship. Through a kaleidoscope of legal frameworks and judicial interpretations, the narrative intricately weaves the threads of authority, accountability, and ecological integrity, revealing the profound implications of judicial oversight in enhancing or constraining environmental policy. As the judiciary assumes its role as both arbiter and guardian of the environment, this examination posits that judicial review serves as a vital fulcrum, ensuring that the imperatives of environmental justice resonate across the fragmented landscape of governance. By scrutinizing landmark cases and legislative milestones, this work elucidates how the judiciary shapes the narrative of environmental federalism, fostering a symphony of cooperative engagement while grappling with the discordant notes of state versus federal authority. This discourse aspires to catalyze a deeper understanding of the harmonious interplay between law and nature, urging stakeholders to engage in a collective. Ultimately, this work aspires to contribute to the ever-evolving narrative of environmental jurisprudence in India, urging a contemplative reflection on our collective responsibility toward the Earth and future generations.

Rural Development Schemes in India Through years
(Door Publication, 2024) Sunil Kumar, Mustfa Hussain
Rural development schemes in India have played a vital role in improving the socio-economic conditions of rural communities over the years. The Government of India has launched several initiatives aimed at poverty alleviation, employment generation, infrastructure development, and social welfare. Early programs such as the Community Development Programme (1952) and Integrated Rural Development Programme (IRDP) laid the foundation for rural progress. Later schemes like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), and National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) focused on sustainable livelihoods, connectivity, and women empowerment. Recent initiatives like Digital India, PM-KISAN, and Rural Skill Development Programs emphasize technology, income support, and capacity building. These schemes collectively aim to enhance living standards, promote self-reliance, and ensure inclusive growth. Continuous monitoring, effective implementation, and community participation are essential for achieving long-term rural transformation.

The Politics of Gender & Good Governance in India: A Critical Discourse
    (Bharti Publications, 2025) Faizan Haque
Within the current development paradigm, one of the main challenges is gender disparity in India. It can take many different forms and is a major factor in determining the lives of most women on the Indian subcontinent. Numerous research studies and works published by international organisations have demonstrated the various dimensions of gender inequality that exist in India. In addition to restricting women's access to opportunities and resources, a lack of gender equality jeopardises the chances for the next generation. On the other hand, democracy, decentralisation, and local governance are inextricably related to each other, in which the role of women is a critical factor. Including women in decision-making roles, access and control, and the use of power and authority are all important aspects of mainstreaming gender in local government. Previous studies have indicated that socio-cultural hurdles that had not been addressed by several reform attempts often resulted in women being elected as "proxies" for their male relatives or preventing them from carrying out their representational roles. In essence, governance comprises the traditions, institutions and processes that determine how power is exercised, how citizens are given a voice, and how decisions are made on issues of public concern. This paper tries to find out factors which are responsible for gender inequality in various institutions and good governance in India. The descriptive and content analytical natures serve as the foundation for this research paper. The present paper is based on secondary data which will be collected from various sources like journals, books, reports, articles, internet etc.

Analysing the Trends in Public Expenditure on Education in India
(Sandpiper Publisher, Lucknow, 2025) TAHIR HUSSAIN ANSARI , HUMA SHAHID
This study looks at the patterns of public spending on education in India with the goal of clarifying financial priorities, distribution patterns, and the effects these have had on educational results over the last few decades. This study does a thorough examination of the variations in educational spending at the federal and state levels using extensive data from government budgets, policy papers, and statistics reports. The research highlights the differences in state-by-state spending on education and looks at how these differences affect educational fairness and quality. According to the study, increases in important educational indicators including student performance, enrolment ratios, and literacy rates are correlated with public spending. Additionally, it evaluates the results of flagship government programs and policies meant to improve educational accessibility and infrastructure. Persistent difficulties are identified by the research, such as in efficient money utilization, regional disparities, and the need for a more focused strategy to meet the particular requirements of underfunded regions. The study's policy suggestions, which highlight the significance of a planned, fair, and sustainable approach to finance, are intended to maximize investments in education.
