Across the globe year 2020 was the most exceptional year for countries. Apart from Covid-19 an important change came in the Indian Education system was introduction and development of New Education Policy (NEP-2020). This paper specially referenced for the main characteristics of Higher Education in NEP[1]2020. The new education policy 2020 is proposed India centric education system which is ready to give its precious contribution to make positive change in Indian tradition, culture, values and ethos. The main objective of NEP is to provide equal opportunity of the educational growth and development of a people, without any type of discrimination. Further, it will develop a perception in students by creating knowledge, skills, intelligence and confidence among them.
