The Indirect Effect of Digitalisation And E-Commerce On Air Pollution
(Book Rivers, 2025) Zia Afroz, Aiman Siddiqui
Digitalisation means 'use o f online services o r technology', and E-Commerce means 'online shopping'. People started using online services to save time, but the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the sector even more. Buyers started purchasing through online portals, which created employment opportunities and increased vehicle use, which increased air pollution i n urban areas. Secondly, the overuse of packaging material is also one of the causes of environmental degradation. Vehicle pollution is more dominant among other air pollution factors due to particulate matter (PM). Particulate matter (PM) refers to air pollutants that come in various sizes, measured in micrometers (um). These particles can pose significant health risks, especially those with smaller diameters like MI, PM2.5, and PM10. This paper aims t o study the indirect effects o f digitalization and e-commerce on air pollution results from changes in transportation patterns, packaging, and consumer behavior.

Analysis of Various Breakdown Voltage Improvement Techniques for E-mode AlGaN/GaN HEMTs
(Springer, Singapore, 2026) Ravi Rathour, Ayan Mustafa Khan
E-mode HEMTs featuring a p-GaN gate with 2D (2-dimensional) electron gas at the AlGaN/GaN interface demonstrate a substantial density and exceptional mobility of carriers. This characteristic positions them as potential contenders for applications demanding both high frequency and high power. For high-power circuit applications, E-mode HEMTs with high breakdown voltage are desired, which have a significant influence on AlGaN/GaN HEMT performance. From this perspective, even though several approaches for enhancing the breakdown voltage of E-mode HEMTs have been documented in literary works, the most promising approach for advancing circuit integration and device miniaturization in upcoming power electronics systems appears to be the recent approach involving E-mode HEMTs featuring a p-GaN gate with GaN/AlN buffer layer reshaping. This innovative approach has demonstrated a remarkable breakdown voltage of up to 1781 V. The objective of this work is to comprehensively examine and analyze various methodologies designed to elevate the breakdown voltage in high-power E-mode HEMTs featuring a p-GaN gate. Initially, the underlying mechanisms accountable for breakdown are discussed. Subsequently, a concise overview of several approaches aimed at elevating the breakdown voltage in E-mode HEMTs is briefly mentioned. Finally, a novel approach that involves reshaping the hybrid GaN/AlN buffer layer to increase the breakdown voltage in E-mode HEMTs featuring a p-GaN gate is discussed.

Climate Change and its Impact on Fruit Production: Adaptation Strategies
(Stella International Publication, 2025) Sampurna Nand Singh, Km Kusum
Climate change poses a significant threat to global fruit production, with rising temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, and increased frequency of extreme weather events disrupting physiological processes, phenological cycles, and pest dynamics. These changes can adversely affect fruit yield, quality, and geographic suitability, challenging food security and agricultural sustainability. This chapter explores the multifaceted impacts of climate change on major fruit crops, focusing on shifts in flowering and fruiting times, increased vulnerability to pests and diseases, and water stress. Furthermore, it highlights a range of adaptation strategies employed across different agro-climatic zones, including the development of climate-resilient cultivars, advanced irrigation techniques, agroforestry integration, and changes in agronomic practices. Policy interventions and research priorities are also discussed to support farmers in navigating an increasingly unpredictable climate. This chapter provides an integrative overview essential for researchers, policymakers, and growers aiming to mitigate climate-related risks and ensure resilient fruit production systems.

Preharvest Factors Affecting and Postharvest Quality in Horticultural Crops
(Nitya Publication, 2025) Kusum, Sampurna Nand Singh
The quality of horticultural crops is significantly influenced by both preharvest and postharvest factors, which affect their marketability, nutritional value, and shelf life. Preharvest factors such as climate, soil conditions, irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and pest management play a crucial role in determining the initial quality of fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants. Genetic factors, cultivar selection, and cultural practices also impact the biochemical composition, texture, and appearance of produce. Postharvest quality is further influenced by handling, storage conditions, packaging, and transportation. Factors such as temperature management, humidity control, and postharvest treatments can either extend or shorten the shelf life of horticultural commodities. Understanding the interplay between preharvest and postharvest factors is essential for optimizing crop quality, reducing postharvest losses, and ensuring consumer satisfaction. This paper explores the key preharvest and postharvest factors that affect the quality of horticultural crops and suggests strategies for maintaining optimal produce quality from farm to market.

Remote Sensing for Value Addition in Natural Farming
(Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2025) Alok Singh Jayara, Rajeew Kumar, Priyanka Pandey, Sampurna Nand Singh, Sharad Pandey
The present era of agriculture is facing repercussions from the intensive input use of the Green Revolution. These range from soil health, and plant health to human health. There is a need to have an alternative to conventional farming. Natural farming can be an efficient alternative to sustain agriculture. However, there is a need to make natural farming more efficient and validate it scientifically with modern scientific tools. Remote sensing whose applications range from site selection, crop monitoring and yield prediction, to post-harvest functions of crops can be utilized in natural farming.

The Prismatic Classroom: A Theoretical Inquiry into Qualitative Experiences in Education
    (Book Rivers, 2026) Azkiya Waris
The investigation delves into the complex characteristics of educational settings as places where meanings are deflected. It is a study influenced by phenomenological and constructivist perspectives that examines how the physical architecture, sociological structures, and digital interfaces combine to the experiences of students and teachers. Among the significant themes are the effects of "environmental hues", the literal and metaphorical aesthetic signals, on student engagement and the continuation of the "hidden curriculum" (crowds, praise, and power) in socializing learners into institutional hierarchies. In addition to that, the study examines the concept of "digital refraction, " which is a situation in which the technological mediation changes social presence and embodiment in virtual spaces. The study, in essence, finds that the creation of genuine student agency and the feeling of belonging necessitate going beyond neoliberal metricization to dialogic partnership and inclusive design.

From Arthashastra to Globalization: Ancient Indian Perspectives on Commerce and Economics
(Book Rivers, 2025) Divya R. Panjwani, Henna Punjabi
Commerce and economics are as old as human civilization. The ways in which societies organize production, trade, and distribution of wealth have continuously evolved in response to political, technological, and cultural transformations. The modern global economy driven by free markets, global supply chains, and digital technologies is often perceived as entirely novel. However, a closer look reveals that many foundational principles of commerce and economics were articulated in ancient civilizations, including India. Ancient Indian scriptures such as the Vedas, Smritis, Arthashastra, Mahabharata, and Jataka tales contain rich descriptions of trade, taxation, labor organization, and ethical considerations in economic life (Sharma, 2010). This chapter explores the global shifts in commerce and economics across history while simultaneously situating ancient Indian contributions within this trajectory.
