Item A study on Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Resilience, and Sleep Quality among Physicians working with COVID’19 Cases in India(INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF INNOVATIVE RESEARCH IN TECHNOLOGY, 2025) Ananya Mishra, Jyotsana ShuklaAbstract—This research aimed to study and compare the levels of depression, anxiety, stress, resilience and quality of sleep in Physicians Working with COVID’19 cases and Physicians working with Non COVID’19 cases in private and public hospitals in Lucknow city, India, during the COVID'19 pandemic. Data was collected via Google Form. Participants were required to fill out demographic datasheet and answer standardized questionnaires on depression, anxiety, stress, resilience and quality of sleep. Purposive sampling method was used. Interestingly, no significant difference was found between the two groups on the depression, anxiety, stress, resilience and quality of sleep. However, mean scores indicated that Physicians Working with COVID’19 cases experienced more anxiety, stress and a poorer sleep quality as compared to Physicians working with Non COVID’19 cases. Those physicians who worked with COVID’19 cases scored higher on resilience and lower on depression as compared to those physicians who were working with Non COVID’19 cases. The reasons could be that the former developed more resilience in order perhaps due to the support available from the trained staff, appropriate security/safety measures, family support and teamwork. The variables that would contribute to their better mental health need to be further explored so that the Physicians’ mental health can be further promoted through relevant interventions and psychoeducation, during challenging times such as the COVID’19.Item SALICYLIC ACID: AN EFFECTIVE TOOL TO COMBAT MANCOZEB TOXICITY IN PLANTS(Aargon Press, New Delhi, 2021) Shadma Andleeb Khan, Nida Sultan, Laxmi , Aisha KamalThe use of fungicides is the continuous practice in agriculture to protect crops from various fungal diseases. Mancozeb (MZ(2-)], is a fungicide classified in the carbamate pesticide family, It is registered for use on a variety of horticulture and agricultural crops and seed treatment of cotton, potatoes, corn, safflower, sorghum, peanuts, tomatoes, flax, and various cereal grains. The fungicide mancozeb has a considerable deleterious impact on soil microflora, nitrification, ammonification, soil microbial biomass, carbon mineralization, and soil enzymes which may result in harmful effects on nutrient uptake and plant growth. Salicylic acid (SA) is an important signal molecule, regulating oxidative stress response in plants. It was found in many studies that exogenous application of salicylic acid could promote the degradation of pesticides and suppress the accumulation of pesticides in plant tissues. The present chapter covers the aspects of pesticidal response of plants and evaluates the contribution of Salicylic acid in mitigating pesticide-induced stress and increasing the tolerance of plants.Item An Empirical study on workspace stress as a predictor of employee productivity and efficiency in the banking sector : A Comparision between private and public sector banks(Indowise International Publisher, 2024) Asma Farooque; Sneha Gupta, HabibuddinAbstract: India is the globe's largest and highly self-governing democracy, highlighting a resilient banking sector. The pivotal role that banks play in propelling a nation's economic advancement involves a shift from acquiring customers to retaining them. Like many other industries, the banking sector faces challenges, particularly in the workplace, where mental and emotional obstacles arise from demanding and adverse conditions. This study explores the link between stress and strain experienced by banking employees and its influence on their performance. Carried out in Kanpur city, the research encompasses both public and private bank employees, with a sample size of 250 individuals. Data collection involved the use of a questionnaire.
