    "Limited information is available on current status of flora and fauna of each PA and other ecosystems. Except for Dudhwa tiger reserve, Patna Bird Sanctuary, Hastinapur Wildlife sanctuary, proper documentation of biodiversity values of other protected areas needs to be done. Status of conflicts between PAs and people dependent on them is less documented."

The chapter also addresses the importance of zoos in habitat conservation efforts, highlighting partnerships with local and global organizations to restore ecosystems and protect wildlife. Furthermore, it discusses the educational impact of zoos in raising awareness about biodiversity loss and fostering a conservation ethic among visitors.
