(Book Rivers HN 22 Kanchan Nagar Kalyanpur Lucknow UP, 2025) SMITA SRIVASTAVA, JAHANGEER ALAM
National Education Policy - 2020: The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) is this century's very first policy on education, following the National Policy on Education (NPE) 1986. Reforming the Indian educational system was the main objective of this policy. It seeks to make the education system more inclusive, flexible, and quality-based. The policy emphasizes accessibility, inclusiveness, and quality in education. In the context of NEP-2020, the significance of online and digital learning has been increased dramatically. The policy strongly advocates for digital education. According to this policy, technical education will become an essential part of education in the coming years, providing students with new learning opportunities. Additionally, the policy recommends the establishment of infrastructure for digital transformation in education and the training of teachers.

AN ANALYSIS OF THE CHALLENGES FACED IN EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS
(Book Rivers, 2025) SADA WARSI, AZKIYA WARIS
Education is not just about living; it's for life. The true purpose of education is to shape one's character, as John Dewey once noted, "Learning is heavily influenced by the learner's environment." This environment acts as a complex system of influences and elements that surround and impact an individual, though some may manage to resist these effects. "Education is the embodiment of human excellence and a process that combines to nurture a personality with a well-rounded character, especially in spiritual growth," Swami Vivekananda articulated. "It is the holistic growth of a person, focusing not just on intellectual growth but also on the physical, moral, and spiritual dimensions of their being," Rabindranath Tagore added. "The physical, moral, and spiritual aspects of a person's character should be emphasized."

The Ideal School: A Comprehensive Framework Inspired by Modern and Vedic Educational Principles
(Book Rivers HN 22 Kanchan Nagar Kalyanpur Lucknow UP, 2025) DIVYA R. PANJWANI, NAZIA AKHLAQ, HENNA PUNJABI
In the contemporary era, it is more essential to contemplate the notion of the "ideal school," since the global educational landscape is in a state of perpetual evolution. Given that educational systems face the challenge of equipping students for a future characterized by swift technological advancements, environmental issues, and social disparities, it is imperative to develop an educational framework that nurtures the potential of all students while adapting to the demands of the 21st century. The optimal school would integrate essential ideas that cultivate responsible and compassionate persons. The ideal school goes beyond the mere transmission of information and focuses on holistic development, including cognitive growth, emotional intelligence, moral integrity, and practical knowledge. Education must foster creativity, critical thinking, ethical awareness, and spiritual consciousness, ensuring students are well-prepared to navigate an ever-changing world. This chapter proposes a comprehensive framework for the ideal school by integrating modern pedagogical methods, sustainable learning environments, technological innovations, and traditional Indian wisdom from the Vedic system of education.

The education system in any nation serves as the foundation upon which the future of society is built. In the contemporary era, marked by digital disruptions, global interconnectivity, and shifting socio-cultural paradigms, school education must evolve not only in content but also in purpose and practice. The need of the hour is to reimagine education in a manner that empowers learners to thrive in an increasingly complex, diverse, and unpredictable world. Reimagining School Education in the 21st Century: Policies to Practices is a collective academic response to this imperative. Conceived with the aim of bridging the gap between policy vision and ground-level execution, this edited volume brings together scholars, educators, and practitioners who offer diverse perspectives on the current educational landscape in India. This book comprises twenty-one thoughtfully curated chapters, each addressing a critical aspect of school education—from policy frameworks and pedagogical transformation to technological integration, psychosocial well-being, and skill development. Contributors have explored themes such as the National Education Policy 2020, inclusive classroom practices, student-teacher ratios, challenges in educational administration, curriculum innovation, and the digital divide. Many chapters also delve into the real-world challenges faced by teachers and students, especially in government schools, and propose actionable recommendations grounded in research and field experience. We believe that this volume will be particularly valuable to teacher educators, education policymakers, school leaders, and scholars engaged in educational planning and reform. It serves as a practical guide to rethinking and reshaping our school systems for the 21st century learner. We express our sincere gratitude to all the contributors for their scholarly inputs and to Book Rivers for publishing this important work.
