Abstract

This abstract provides an overview of the environmental and health hazards associated with electronic waste (e-waste) and the chemicals contained within it. E-waste, a complex mixture of metals, plastics, and other substances, poses significant risks due to the presence of hazardous compounds. Improper handling and disposal of e-waste can lead to the release of toxic chemicals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and flame retardants which can have detrimental effects on human health and the environment. This abstract highlight the importance of proper recycling and disposal practices to mitigate the environmental and health impacts of e-waste chemicals. Additionally, it emphasizes the need for effective legislation and international collaboration to address the challenges posed by e-waste and ensure sustainable management practices for electronic waste.
