Abstract
Human beings are social creatures who rely on a complete social system to thrive. There is a delicate balance between nature and humans that must be maintained in order for all systems to function properly. If humans disrupt this cycle, it can have negative effects on nature as a whole, including themselves. Therefore, it is important for development to be sustainable to ensure the survival of future generations. Sustainable development refers to a long-lasting and well-managed approach to growth that takes into account the needs of both present and future societies. Education plays a vital role in the achievement of sustainable development goals. Education and sustainable development are closely connected, as they both address issues such as livelihood management, equality, economic growth, and social progress. Teachers are key figures in society who guide individuals to follow societal norms and prepare them to be responsible citizens. By instilling the principles of sustainable development in their students, teachers can help these values take root in society. This paper emphasizes the importance of teacher education in reaching sustainable development objectives. It stresses that education for sustainable development is crucial for students to contribute to the goals of sustainable development.
