One of the most significant aspects of life is being healthy. However, many people continue to lack access to adequate healthcare services. The inaccessibility of hospitals and the limitations of the technologies utilized by the hospitals are the root causes. The Internet of Things (IoT) is currently a highly prevalent and widely discussed topic, offering numerous solutions in various fields, especially healthcare. The IoT can be utilized for the identification of diseases, treatment of diseases, and health monitoring as part of the healing process. The development of wearable devices as part of the IoT to assist people in receiving the appropriate therapy for themselves is rapidly growing. This article presents a review of the wearable devices connected to the IoT to monitor various healthcare conditions ranging from cardiovascular diseases to monitor ECG, BP, pulse rate, and physiological parameters like temperature, respiratory rate, neurocognitive disorders, muscle disorder, and blood glucose level. This chapter also discusses the challenges in using IoT for healthcare and its future prospects.
