Abstract
Oxidative stress is an imbalance between free radicals production and neutralization. Oxidative stress significantly contributes to the onset and progression of various illnesses. Antioxidants are chemicals that help to prevent or reduce the harm caused by free radicals to cells. Our body produces free radicals in response to internal and external stresses. This leads to health problems and Antioxidants work by supplying free radicals with an electron, which stabilizes them and prevents them from causing damage to cells. Antioxidants are essential for protecting our cells from the harmful effects of free radicals, which can lead to various health problems such as cancer, heart disease, and stroke. Common antioxidants include flavonoids, beta-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E, and lycopene. Quinones reduce inflammation in the body, which in turn helps to alleviate the symptoms of many chronic diseases. Quinones strengthen the immune system, which can improve its ability to fight off illnesses. Additionally, Quinones may slow down the aging process by protecting cells from damage.
