The integration of technology has transformed teacher education, providing new ways to train and support educators. This chapter examines the role of Educational Technology (EdTech) in shaping both pre-service and in-service teacher training. It highlights how technology enhances digital skills, introduces innovative teaching methods, and offers opportunities for practice, feedback, and collaboration. The chapter also traces the historical evolution of teacher training, comparing traditional approaches with technology driven practices, and identifies key milestones in the adoption of EdTech. While the benefits of technology - such as flexibility, reflective practice, and networking are emphasized, challenges like unequal access, lack of technical support, and resistance to change are discussed. The chapter concludes by exploring future directions, including advanced tools, blended learning models, and sustainable implementation strategies. Overall, it demonstrates that EdTech plays a crucial role in improving teacher competencies, professional growth, and the quality of education.
